The Image Scanner itself can handle both PAGES and CHECKS at either a 90 ppm or 120 ppm duplex transport. These 2 models do not include a MICR READER option.
This model presents an affordable ($25K less than the IDC/ME-2) and practical solution for the site that either ARC’s or CHECK 21’s their checks…and therefore don’t require ENCODING or inline outsorting of the checks as they are imaged. Archive Regulations, that suggest timely destruction of the checks, do not suggest that these checks must be shredded separately from the rest of the imaged transaction.
If the previous point applies to your intended use and your group would likely image each transaction’s respective ENVELOPE, then continue this theme on transaction quality, to include the following consideration. Our 3-Sided opening feature allows you to flatten each envelope. This in turn, means that your Image Scanner’s DOUBLES DETECTION will not be compromised to accept an envelope that has been opened on just 2-Sides; and therefore ignored as a DOUBLE FEED. Don’t be fooled by responses such as ‘the Doubles Detect knows the difference between a 2-panel envelope and a double feed of either docs or pages.’ We can demonstrate the issue for you, if necessary. The inclusion of our INK JET PRINTER can allow your Image Software to see our printed Bar Code and automatically create your transaction boundary. |
